The neighbourhood of Altamont is part of the municipality of West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Getting around by car is especially convenient in this part of the municipality. The majority of properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and coming across a parking spot is easy. In contrast, commuting by public transit is difficult in Altamont. Thankfully, house owners have access to a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Altamont is not very conducive to those who like to travel by foot because very few daily errands can be run without a car. Altamont is also not very bicycling-friendly because the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed, and there is a significant amount of hills.

Services

Families will value that wherever their home is situated in this part of the municipality, primary schools and daycares are nearby. However, parents may find it very hard for their kids to access high schools by walking. In terms of food, a car is usually required in this area to reach the closest grocery store.
