Transportation

Victoria West affords home buyers the choice between several methods of transportation. The reasonably good transit access allows people to get to many destinations without needing a vehicle. For example, house owners benefit from approximately 30 bus lines, and bus stops are typically very close by. Victoria West is also moderately suitable for pedestrians; running daily errands is easy without needing a vehicle, and various businesses are close by. This neighbourhood will appeal to physically active people because it is very suited for bicycling. In particular, the bicycling network is reasonably good.

Services

It is very often practical for house buyers in Victoria West to buy general and specialty groceries by foot. The homes in this neighbourhood are quite new, since roughly one third of its buildings were built following the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s. Large apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing about 40% of dwellings in this part of Victoria, and the rest of the properties are mainly small apartment buildings. There are equal parts renters and owners living in this neighbourhood. This area offers mainly one bedroom and two bedroom homes.
