Downtown

Downtown Prince George is a neighbourhood within Prince George, British Columbia, which is situated in the Greater Prince George metropolitan area.

Transportation

Many of the houses for sale in this area are located in places that are reasonably conducive to those who prefer to get around by walking; most daily needs are easy to meet without a car, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. This part of Prince George is also reasonably bicycling-friendly. Cars are a good transportation option in this neighbourhood. It is very convenient to come across a parking spot. However, the public transit network in Downtown is not very accessible. Nonetheless, there are around 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are usually very close by.

Services

It is very often practical for home buyers in Downtown to do their grocery shopping by walking. In addition, there is generally a restaurant or cafe in close proximity. It is also easy to access a number of clothing stores without the need to get in a vehicle. Downtown has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Although this part of Prince George is not known for its lively atmosphere, with its a few bars, there are options for nighttime activities. This neighbourhood also has a good choice of housing size options - it is quite easy to find properties ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. The split between homeowners and renters is about even. About 40% of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960.
