The neighbourhood of Braemar is part of the municipality of District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Braemar is very car friendly. The majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, and coming across a place to park is generally easy. However, getting around by transit can be challenging in this area due to the low service level. Thankfully, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically very close by. It is impractical for pedestrians to get around in Braemar as carrying out daily needs is at times difficult without a vehicle. In contrast, Braemar is rather appropriate for biking.

Services

In Braemar, families will usually be able to get to daycares and primary schools by walking. In contrast, families may find it difficult to reach high schools as pedestrians. With regards to food, the closest grocery store in Braemar is typically only a very long trip away. The noise levels in this part of District of North Vancouver are very low, as the streets tend to be especially peaceful. Lastly, accessing public green spaces, including Princess Park, is very easy from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood since there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to check out.

In Braemar, most dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest of the properties are mainly duplexes. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 85% of the dwellings in Braemar and renters occupy the remainder. About one third of properties in this neighbourhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1990s.
