Town Centre, Maple Ridge Rentals

Town Centre is reasonably conducive to people who travel by walking; meeting daily needs is convenient without a car, and various businesses are close by. In contrast, commuting by bicycle is occasionally challenging in this part of the city because the bicycling infrastructure is somewhat poor, and bicycling is made arduous by the typically sloping area. Residents using public transit may experience few options in this neighbourhood by reason of the low service level. Nevertheless, train stations, such as the Port Haney Station Westbound and Port Haney Station Eastbound on the West Coast Express, are not especially far away from most properties in the neighbourhood. There are approximately 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. In contrast, Town Centre is fairly car friendly. Parking is easy, and the majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway.

It is especially easy to access the closest supermarket without a car from most houses for sale in Town Centre. Likewise, there is usually a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. It is also a rather short trip to a good choice of clothing stores, for instance on 224 Street. Regarding education, it is a short stroll to access daycares and schools from anywhere in this neighbourhood.

Town Centre is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the ambience of this neighbourhood. Town Centre is quiet overall, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue, although that is not the case close to the railway line. On the other hand, access to public green spaces in the neighbourhood, such as Merkley Park and Telosky Stadium Park, is easy since there are approximately 20 of them nearby for residents to explore. Finally, even though the atmosphere is not the most lively in this part of the city, its busier streets are still quite energetic, and it is very easy to find places to go out at night because they are well-distributed throughout the neighbourhood.

Roughly two thirds of dwellings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Town Centre, and the rest of the properties are mainly large apartment buildings and single detached homes. This part of the city is primarily composed of one bedroom and two bedroom homes. Roughly 55% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and renters make up the remainder. About one third of homes in this part of Maple Ridge were constructed following the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s.
