Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Allco is a neighbourhood within Maple Ridge, British Columbia.

Transportation

The car is very often the best means of transportation in Allco. It is very convenient to park. Traveling as a pedestrian is not very feasible for residents in Allco since almost no daily needs can be met without a car. Allco is also not very cycling-friendly as cyclists are faced with a significant amount of hills, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive. Thankfully, biking is more feasible in some sectors than others.

Services

This neighbourhood does not have any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, there are only a few daycares and therefore they can be a long distance away. Concerning food, house buyers in Allco typically have to use a vehicle to travel to the nearest supermarket.

Character

The character of Allco is exemplified by its calm atmosphere. This area is especially quiet overall, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Lastly, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, including Allco Park, making it very easy to get to them.

Housing

The substantial proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of Allco is an important part of its character. Around 30% of properties in this area were built following the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s.
