The neighbourhood of Hockaday Nestor can be found in the city of Coquitlam, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a fairly good mode of transportation in this area. It is easy to park. In contrast, Hockaday Nestor is not particularly transit friendly. Thankfully, there are many rapid transit stations with access to the Millennium Line. The neighbourhood is served by approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are generally around the corner. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of Hockaday Nestor, although many daily needs can be met without the use of a vehicle. In contrast, this part of the city is very suited for biking because this part of Coquitlam features reasonably good cycling infrastructure.

Services

Primary schools and daycares are very easy to get to without a vehicle from most houses for sale in this part of the city. In contrast, families may find it challenging to access high schools by foot. When it comes to food, it is very hard to get to the nearest supermarket as a pedestrian from most properties for sale in this part of Coquitlam. Likewise, there is usually a restaurant or cafe just around the corner.

Character

Hockaday Nestor offers a relaxed environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This part of Coquitlam is wonderful for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are usually especially peaceful. Lastly, public green spaces, such as Glen Park and Town Centre Park, are very well-situated and there are about 30 of them close by for residents to visit, which results in them being very easy to get to from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about one third of buildings in Hockaday Nestor, while the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and duplexes.
