Westview, City of North Vancouver Rentals

This part of City of North Vancouver will appeal to house buyers who appreciate being in a walkable community since it is rather well-suited to traveling on foot; many day-to-day errands can be run without a vehicle, and there are also a fair number of businesses close by. On the other hand, Westview is not particularly bike-friendly as the bicycling infrastructure is not especially comprehensive, and there is a significant amount of slopes. Nonetheless, some enjoyable pockets for bicycling exist, and residents often choose to travel by bicycle. Commuting by car is very convenient in Westview. Parking is quite easy, and most real estate listings are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. However, Westview is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and it is very easy to find a nearby bus stop from most homes.

In Westview, parents and their children will usually be able to reach schools and daycares as pedestrians. With respect to eating, it is usually feasible for property owners in this neighbourhood to buy general and specialty groceries by walking. Likewise, there is typically a restaurant or cafe in close proximity. A good variety of clothing stores can also be found within a rather short walking distance.

Westview offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. The noise levels in this area are quite low, as the streets are reasonably tranquil - however noise can be bothersome closer to Trans-Canada Highway. Lastly, it is very easy to access green spaces from many locations within the neighbourhood since there are around 30 of them close by for residents to relax in.

Roughly 30% of dwellings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Westview, but duplexes and single detached homes are also present in the housing stock. This part of City of North Vancouver offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas the rest are renters. Around 40% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 2000s.
