The community of Valley North is part of the city of Chilliwack, British Columbia, which is situated in the Greater Chilliwack metropolitan area.

Transportation

Valley North is an extraordinarily good part of Chilliwack for moving around by car. It is a rather short drive to the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any location in this area, and finding a parking spot is easy. However, public transit users may experience limited choices in this part of the city due to the service's low frequency. Thankfully, the community is linked by a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Getting around by walking is not very practical for home buyers in Valley North as meeting daily needs is sometimes challenging without a vehicle. On the other hand, the bike is a fairly good mode of transportation in Valley North.

Parents and their kids will find that no matter where their house is situated in this area, primary schools and daycares are nearby. On the other hand, there are only a few high schools and accordingly they can be an extended trip away. With regards to food, some, but not all, property owners in this community will reside within a short distance of one of about 20 grocery stores. The character of Valley North is exemplified by its calm environment. Valley North is very good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several noisier areas, especially around the airport (Chilliwack Airport), one of the railway lines or Trans-Canada Highway. Parks aren't well-situated, making them very hard to reach. Despite that, there are over 100 green spaces close by for residents to relax in, including Hillkeep Regional Park and Bert Brink Wildlife Management Area.

About 30% of properties in this area were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
