Situated within the Abbotsford - Mission metropolitan area, Whatcom is a neighbourhood in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Transportation

Whatcom is especially car friendly. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are easy to reach from any home in Whatcom, and finding a parking spot is generally easy. However, Whatcom is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, property owners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. Travelling by bicycle is sometimes difficult in this part of Abbotsford as there are quite a few slopes, and there are few bike lanes. Walking is also not very practical for house buyers in this area because few daily errands can be run without needing a car.
