Located in the Greater Lethbridge metropolitan area, Southeast Employment Centre is a neighbourhood within Lethbridge, Alberta.

Transportation

Driving is very often the best mode of transportation in Southeast Employment Centre. Parking is easy, and nearby highways are particularly easy to reach from any home in this part of the city. However, residents using public transit may have very few choices in this part of Lethbridge due to the service's low frequency. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and most houses are close to a bus stop. Although cyclists do not encounter significant elevation changes, and a fair number of families choose to travel by bicycle, this neighbourhood is not very cycling-friendly as there are few bike lanes. Southeast Employment Centre is also not very conducive to pedestrians since running common errands is occasionally difficult without a car.

Services

It is a short walk to get to primary schools and daycares from most homes for sale in this part of the city. However, this area does not have any high schools. When it comes to eating, it is very difficult to access the nearest supermarket as a pedestrian in this neighbourhood.

Character

There is an extensive selection of green spaces in Southeast Employment Centre. Public green spaces, including Lethbridge Exhibition Park, are very well-located and there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore, which makes it easy to reach them. This neighbourhood is relatively quiet, thanks to the presence of very few pedestrians.

Housing

The substantial percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of Southeast Employment Centre is an important part of its character. This neighbourhood experienced its main construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available homes are from this time period. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 85% of the units in the neighbourhood and the remainder are rented.
