Transportation

This part of the city will please property owners that value a variety of methods of transportation. Owing to about 20 nearby bus lines, this area is reasonably transit friendly. Woodcroft will also draw home buyers who appreciate living in a community that's walkable as it is moderately suitable for getting around on foot; many common errands can be run without a car, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. This neighbourhood is a fairly pleasant part of Edmonton for cyclists. In particular, there are a limited number of slopes, and the bicycling network is reasonably good.

Services

The nearest supermarket in Woodcroft is generally only a rather short walk away. In addition, this neighbourhood is a fairly good place in which to eat out or go to a cafe. Concerning education, it is a short distance to reach daycares and schools from most properties for sale in this area.

Character

Woodcroft is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the feel of this neighbourhood. Woodcroft is fairly good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. However, there are about 30 public green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, including Coronation Park and Dovercourt Community Park, and they are very well-distributed, making them very easy to reach. Lastly, even though this area is not known for its vibrancy, with the nightlife venues in nearby neighbourhoods, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located around the corner.

Housing

In Woodcroft, roughly one third of buildings are single detached homes, but large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Around 40% of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed before the 1960s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s.
