South Riel

South Riel is a neighbourhood within St. Albert, Alberta, which is located in the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area.

Transportation

South Riel is particularly car friendly. It is especially convenient to find a parking spot, and many houses for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway. On the other hand, public transit users may experience few options in South Riel by reason of the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are generally around the corner. South Riel is cycling-friendly because there are a fair number of bike lanes. Many of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are not very well-suited for those who get around on foot because very few daily errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

A supermarket is ordinarily reachable within a rather long distance from most homes for sale in this part of the city. Residents of this part of the city are served by a few restaurants as well. In terms of education, families will find that wherever their property is located in South Riel, daycares are nearby. However, there are no primary schools and no high schools in this neighbourhood.

Character

The character of South Riel is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. Most areas in South Riel are quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Parks aren't well-distributed, which results in them being occasionally difficult to access from most locations within the neighbourhood.
