Belgravia

The neighbourhood of Belgravia can be found in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, which is located in the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Belgravia will appeal to property owners that value a variety of methods of transportation. The transit in this part of Edmonton is good. The closest rapid transit station, including University Station, Health Sciences / Jubilee Station and McKernan/Belgravia Station with access to the Capital Line and Metro Line, is typically close by from the majority of properties in the neighbourhood. There are around 20 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. It is also convenient for people walking to navigate Belgravia; many daily needs can be met without a car. Many residents in the area use their bicycle as the cycling infrastructure is very good.

Services

A supermarket is typically accessible within a rather long walk from anywhere in Belgravia. Furthermore, this part of Edmonton is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe. In terms of education, in Belgravia, parents and their children will almost always be able to access daycares and primary schools by walking. However, it can be very difficult to get to high schools as a pedestrian.

Character

No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighbourhood, Belgravia is a reasonably good option. Belgravia is wonderful for those who need quiet areas, as the streets are especially peaceful. On the other hand, public green spaces, including Buena Vista Park, are very well-distributed and there are around 40 of them nearby for residents to check out, which makes them very easy to access. Finally, even though the ambience is not the most lively in this area with the nightlife venues in nearby neighbourhoods, it is rather challenging to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located quite far away.

Housing

About three quarters of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while renters occupy the remainder. In this neighbourhood, many dwellings are single detached homes, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings. About half of properties in this part of Edmonton were constructed pre-1960, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 2000s. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
