The neighbourhood of Spruce Cliff can be found in the city of Calgary, Alberta, which is located in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

Many of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are moderately suitable for people who like to get around by walking; meeting daily needs is convenient without a car. This neighbourhood is also a fairly pleasant part of Calgary for cyclists. For instance, there are a limited number of elevation changes, and the bicycling network is fairly well-developed. Cars are a reasonably good transportation option in this part of the city. It is easy to park. On the other hand, Spruce Cliff is not particularly transit friendly. Nevertheless, rapid transit stations, including Westbrook Station and Shaganappi Point Station on the Blue Line - Saddletowne/69 Street CTrain, are not very far away from the bulk of residences in the neighbourhood. There are around 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most homes.

Services

Schools and daycares are very convenient to get to without needing a vehicle from most homes for sale in this part of the city. In terms of food, it is very easy to access the closest supermarket as a pedestrian in this part of Calgary. Furthermore, there are a fair number of options in close proximity for those who care about restaurants and cafes. It is also a rather short distance to a good selection of clothing stores.

Character

No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighbourhood, Spruce Cliff is a good option. Although the ambience is not the liveliest in this part of the city with the nightlife venues in nearby neighbourhoods, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located around the corner. Spruce Cliff is excellent for those who need quiet areas, as the streets tend to be very calm. Access to public green spaces in the neighbourhood, such as Karl Baker Off-Leash Park, is very easy since there are about 30 of them close by for residents to unwind in.

Housing

Around 60% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by renters and 40% are occupied by owners. In this area, about half of buildings are small apartment buildings, but large apartment buildings and single detached homes are also present in the housing stock. Around 45% of homes in this part of the city were built after the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This neighbourhood has a good choice of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
