Transportation

Driving is very often the favoured way to navigate Legacy. The majority of real estate listings are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and it is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. In contrast, commuting by public transit is challenging in this part of Calgary. Nevertheless, there are about 10 bus lines, and it is especially convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. In Legacy, around 45% of dwellings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This part of the city offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly three quarters of the units in the neighbourhood and one quarter are rented. This part of the city experienced its most significant building boom after the year 2000, so most of the available housing stock is from this time period.
