Lakeview is a neighbourhood within Calgary, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

Lakeview is a fairly good part of Calgary for moving around by car. It is especially convenient to park. However, the transit access in Lakeview is not very practical. Nonetheless, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually very close by. Many of the houses for sale in this part of Calgary are located in places that are not especially conducive to people who like to get around as pedestrians as few common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. On the other hand, a good number of residents in the area use their bike as the cycling infrastructure is moderately well-developed.

Families will find that wherever their property is located in Lakeview, both primary and secondary schools are close by. On the other hand, daycares are not particularly plentiful and thus not always within walking distance. When it comes to eating, buying one's groceries often requires the use of a car in Lakeview. A majority of the housing growth in this area took place between 1960 and 1980.
