Transportation

Commuting by car is straightforward in this neighbourhood. It is a rather short drive to the nearest highway from anywhere in this part of Edmonton, and it is convenient to come across a parking spot. In contrast, commuting by public transit is at times challenging in Hillview. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by about 20 bus lines, and bus stops are typically very close by. This area is moderately amenable to biking since the cycling infrastructure is reasonably extensive. On the other hand, there are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this part of the city, although carrying out daily needs is convenient without needing to resort to a vehicle.

Services

It is occasionally practical for house buyers in this neighbourhood to shop for groceries on foot. Furthermore, a restaurant is generally just around the corner, and there are also a few coffee shops in Hillview. Residents have access to a fair number of clothing stores within a short distance. Lastly, there are about 10 public green spaces nearby for residents to discover, like Jackie Parker Park and Greenview Park, and they are especially well-distributed, which results in them being very easy to access from many locations in this area.

In Hillview, many buildings are single detached homes, and the rest are mainly small apartment buildings. This part of Edmonton is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder. This part of the city experienced its biggest construction boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available housing stock is from this time period.
