Transportation

This part of Edmonton is reasonably amenable to cycling as there are a limited number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists, and this community is home to good bicycling infrastructure. This community is also moderately suitable for those who prefer to get around on foot; running daily errands is convenient without a vehicle. Driving is a very good transportation option in this part of Edmonton. Many real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway, and it is easy to park. However, commuting by transit can be at times challenging in Callingwood as a result of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, residents benefit from approximately 10 bus lines, and it is very easy to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses.

It is a short stroll to access schools and daycares from anywhere in this part of the city. With respect to eating, it is convenient to reach the nearest supermarket on foot in Callingwood. Additionally, there is typically a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. It is also convenient to get to a selection of clothing stores as a pedestrian.

Character

Callingwood has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Callingwood is reasonably good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. On the other hand, there are approximately 20 green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in, like Dechene Park and Aldergrove Park, and they are very well-spread out, which makes them very easy to reach. Finally, even though this part of the city is not known for its lively ambience, with the nightlife venues in nearby communities, it is very difficult to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located very far.
