Transportation

Athlone is a fairly convenient part of Edmonton for pedestrians; running day-to-day errands is easy without a car. In contrast, Athlone is not particularly amenable to bicycling because the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive. Thankfully, cyclists do not encounter serious elevation changes. The transit infrastructure in this part of the city is somewhat poor. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by around 10 bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. On the other hand, the preferred transportation option in Athlone is very often driving. The majority of houses for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, and it is easy to park.

Services
