Transportation

Travelling by bicycle is convenient in this part of Calgary. Getting around as a pedestrian is also reasonably practical for property owners in this part of the city; running common errands is easy without needing to resort to a vehicle. The public transit service in Braeside is not particularly frequent. Nevertheless, homeowners benefit from approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are generally very close by. However, driving is often the favoured method of transportation in this part of Calgary. Finding a parking spot is generally easy.

On the other hand, there are only a limited number of high schools and consequently they can be an extended trip away.

Character

Braeside is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. This neighbourhood is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, there are over 50 public green spaces close by for residents to check out, such as Southwood off-leash area 2, and they are especially well-located, making them very easy to reach.

Housing

Most of the housing growth in Braeside took place between 1960 and 1980. In this part of the city, the majority of buildings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Homeowners occupy around three quarters of the dwellings in the neighbourhood whereas the rest are rented. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
